Hi,
I'm using WL8 in trial mode. Looks pretty good so far.
What do I have to do to get the Norgate Current & Past data (am a subscriber and the data updater is open). So far this section contains nothing, whereas the 'current only' Norgate section contains DataSets...
Thank you,
Patrick

Switch to the dark theme?

Just kidding. It looks like it wasn't populated for some reason.
Make sure you're up-to-date with all the extensions, restart and try again.

You got me for 2 seconds...
That was a good one, haha

Coming back to the matter:
Looks a bit strange, I just checked the extensions and it looks like this:

I certainly have installed it right from start. and just a minute ago again (wo error message)
Furthermore, I have set up already own datasets which work aka contain the data...

So pls help, I urgently need some surv.biasship free tests ;-)
Thank you,
Patrick

What market would you like to test. You can get started with WealthData. It has a dynamic watchlist too for:

1. NASDAQ 100
2. SP 500
3. DAX30/40
4. MDAX
5. DOW 30

But did you download the latest Norgate extension's build from the website?

Not until today. After cone's post I tried it an hour ago and now again. Unfortunately not with a different result

Does it still indicate that it's not installed on the Home Page? Let's solve that first.

Yes, it still indicates that it is not installed on the homepage

When you updated, did you check the box there and click Update Select Items, or did you download from the site and run it? Of course after installating an extension, you also need to restart WealthLab.

We just successfully closed a case in concierge channel where updates to extensions and B41 hadn't been recognized in the Home Page (i.e. upgraded within WL itself) until we suggested to download B41 and the extensions from the website. Maybe this has some relation and there's some wider impact.

@Cone
I did it now many times in both ways...
Furthemore, before or after the installation process wl8 will close automatically.

So as it stands, the Home Page still indicates "Not Installed".

Please do this:
1. Close WeathLab
2. Navigate to the installation folder - C:\Program Files\Quantacula, LLC\WealthLab 8
3. Find, right click, and check the Properties for the WealthLab.Norgate.dll file.

What's its File Version?

4. In any case, delete the WealthLab.Norgate.dll file.

5. Download a fresh Norgate Data installation file and install it.
https://www.wealth-lab.com/extension/detail/Norgate

6. Start WealthLab.

Does Norgate Build 7 show as installed?
Problems solved?

Is NeuroLab and the PowerPack installed too?

Is there any information in the Log Viewer (Ctrl + L) about these extensions?

NeuroLab ist not installed (so far I do such things with PyTorch or Tensorflow).
PowerPack is installed (aka the dll is in the wl8-folder).

The Log Viewer says:

Hello, since this issue does not seem to be solved so far, would it be possible to extend my trial period until that is done, please?

If this works as expected (SBF-datasets from Norgate), I guarantee that I will subscribe for the premium annual plan...

Thx for considering and Best Regards,
Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Unfortunately, this is an isolated case so far and we don't have any ideas why the Norgate DataSets are not populating for you.

Also, we don't develop/maintain the Norgate Extension, Norgate does. I'll reach out to them and see if they have any ideas here.

I extended your trial in the meantime, if you select Help/Download my License in WL8 you should be all set for another few weeks.

Hi Patrick,

I think the reason behind this is that you are not subscribed at the subscription level that entitles you to use historical index constituents (which is implemented in Wealth Lab as Current & Past Datasets).

It is, of course, confusing to see an empty set of watchlists.

We'll work on an update to the Extension that hides the Current & Past entry if you're not entitled to them, to avoid confusion, and also improve our logging to state that too.

In the meantime, if you want to access the Historical Index Constituents and also delisted stocks, you'll need to upgrade your Norgate Data US Stocks subscription from Gold to Platinum or Diamond.

@Glitch
That is very kind. Highly appreciated

@NorgateData
Thank you. That makes sense. Sorry, I was not aware of that anymore

@WL8 team
Very sorry for creating this confusion. I had the Platinum subscription until about 1.5 years ago, and then switched to Gold (because I was waiting for WL to be able to use Norgate data). I was not aware of the subs. differences at all anymore...
I might be a little excused due to the strange status display (see posts above, where obviously something was not correct...). As it happens, this works now also:

Again, I am sorry about this. After the end of my kindly extended trial, I am defintely going to, as promised, subscribe to a premium annual plan. This (for me) new version is really pretty cool and already love to work with it...

Best Regards,
Patrick
