I have a simple strategy, set on a 1min bar just for testing execution.
buy at market, sell at market.
backtest looks perfect, goes in and out of trades every minute.
i have LL THE PORTFOLIO SYNC CHECKBOXES NOT CHECKED.
I have all the special order types off
I am trading a single share/contract to hopefully make sure I dont run out of theoretical capital.
in strategy monitor, auto-place is on, activate is on, I can see it doing work in the log
but never a single trade enters.
using tradestation, applied update today.
manual trade from orders manager works, then use accounts to flatten or close position also works..
thoughts on what to look at next?

Can you copy and paste what you see in the Strategy Monitor Log tab?
You said, "I am trading a single share/contract".
Make sure of that that's set in the S. Monitor settings here (and make sure it reads "Shares=1" and not "Value=1.00").
If it is, the only other thing I can think of is that the S. Monitor will not work with delayed data, which also probably is not the case for you.

Cone, screenshot you attached was my issue.
As soon as I fixed that to a single share/contract my little SIM/test strategy has been trading in/out all morning!

Great. Make sure to install TS Build 4 too.
Tools > Home Page > right click in Version Info.. Select All (Upgrades only)

Awesome, it's applied and I have 6 real-world strategies set to start paper trading at the open in the morning.
