I was informed by TD Ameritrade trading specialist that in order to stop and reverse position, my account needs to be enabled with enhanced trading features and account needs to be moved from web account to Thinkorswim account. This will have an effect with API.
I wanted to ask if WL7 extension can handle enhanced Thinkorswim API?

As far as I know TD only has one API. I'm not aware of a TOS API. TOS uses their own private communication with TD back-end services, that is different than the API that a product like WL7 can connect with. If you obtain any info about a way to connect to the TOS API let me know!

My advice is not to enable the "Advanced features" unless you really need something that it offers. A drawback is that you'll lose the ability to place OCO orders from Wealth-Lab and a few other things too. It's seems crazy that you lose the ability to do something when upgrading an account!

I did had the advanced features enabled on my account and WL7 is working fine and is able to send orders. I'm now able to reverse a short position. I haven't tried OCO orders.
I did notice that short positions take a little more time and WL7 is unable to retrieve the info whether order got filled or not. But they do get filled in 1-2 secs.

Could you do me a favor and download your Transactions from My Account > History & Statements > Transactions? Look for Short and Cover trades and let me know what text is used for them? Buy is "Bought", Sell is "Sold", Short and Cover are? Thanks.
(This request is actually so that we can complete a parser for a new feature to read in historical trades into a backtest.)

Yes, here's the transaction history. Short is called 'Sold Short' and cover is called 'Bought to Cover'.
