btw, your card details are stored securely by Stripe using Link according to the PCI DSS standards.

Also note that Wealth-Lab 6.9 will be retired on June 30, 2025. The authentication server will be shut down so the program will not start and operate any more past this date.

Oh, that's the second software, that I have used for long times
which will not starte and operate any more.

First Wealth-Lab Developer 4.0 ( I started 2002)
Now WealthLabDev 6.9.

That's a pity

Schade,

I understand, I'm not quite at your age yet, but can sympathize. On the other hand, the alternative of simply remaining stagnant just isn't an option.

But, it would easier for your "superold clients" to have a
key, to work with your former versions.
I have an old PC, on which I work with WL4.
When you received in former times a machine key,,
than it works with WL4 with WIN 10.
No problems.

We no longer own the WL6 code base, Fidelity does, so we cannot make the necessary changes that would allow it to continue to function.

And the WL4?

Your best option is to convert your WL6 code to WL8 code. You may want to use Wealth-Lab's paid service to convert your most complex WL6 strategy into WL8 code. https://www.wealth-lab.com/Support/Concierge With that converted, you may be able to convert your other strategies yourself if you're a C# coder.

WL4 code is another story because it's not C# based.

If your old computer has 16GB of memory and can run Windows 10, then it probably will support WL8. But Microsoft is discontinuing support for Windows 10 in the middle of 2025, so you should think about buying a new computer with Windows 11 now. It should have at least 32GB of memory, but 64GB wouldn't hurt.

WL8 takes a little getting use to, but a great deal of the GUI interface is somewhat like WL6. The programming model of WL8 is laid out differently because it supports multithreaded optimization for multiple-core processors.
