after the last update to the schwab extension #5 it no longer pop the screen up to let me refresh the token now.
Rename
That's expected, especially over the weekend if you leave WL running.
Isn't there a message in the Order Manager and Log Viewer to Restart WealthLab?

when i click to refresh the token it doesn't pop up anymore to refresh the token. the window fails to pop up. I had to revert back to build 4 schwab extension in order to refresh my token.
Okay, it's expected. You only had to restart, and there are messages indicating that.
The problem previously was that once a token expires, the provider could start sending thousands of invalid token requests to Schwab and like me, you may get an email from the Schwab API team: "we see that your application has been making invalid token request thousands of times. Please troubleshoot your code and respond back to this email when complete."
So I did.

I restarted the program 3 times and my computer twice, it still fails to allow me click the button to pop up the login to refresh my token. Which is why I had to revert back to build 4 of the extension in order to get schwab to connect again.
Okay, I'll work on it again. Thanks.
I don't understand why the restart wouldn't work, but if anyone else has this problem, for now something else you can try is to edit your token or password - just remove and replace a character, then try again.

what file saves the token?
Don't mess with the settings files - passwords are encrypted there. You only have to edit the App or Secret Key in WL's Schwab configuration. Even just add a space and then delete it for either key will do the trick.
Hmm, you might have to try to login with the bad credentials to reset it. I'm going to change this. I'm thinking just pop up the "Log into Schwab/Obtain Refresh Token" dialog when it's required.
