I guess it depends on what you are planning to do. If you plan to use intra day data and do a lot of optimisation, I suggest you take the best you can get and minimum 32GB RAM. WL8 will run on smaller configuration but time is of essence here. ;)

I run mainly EOD data test but I do quite some WFO (walk forward optimisation) and my specs are good enough. Here they are:

GPU: Intel Iris Xe (Shared)
Display: 17-inch IPS-grade WQXGA (2560×1600), 16:10 ratio.
Storage: 1TB (M.2 2280) NVMe SSD.
Right side ports: 2x Thunderbolt 4 (power delivery/display), UFS/MicroSD card slot.

I like this one because it is quiet and weight is only: 2.98 lbs (1.35kg);
