Hi
I have an interactive brokers account, and want to auto place strategy on streaming charts, using Wealth lab. With this strategy, I like to auto trade futures.
But my trade order has been rejected, with an explanation
" your available funds are in sufficient if this order executes. In order to obtain the desired position your Equity with Loan Value (7.475 USD) must exceed the new total initial margin (150.785 USD) "

But I don't have any problem if I make the same order manually through interactive brokers. In that case my initial margin is 3.505 USD.

So, with the same order, without using wealth lab I can trade, with no problem. And on the website of Interactive Brokers there is the same amount (3.505 USD) of initial margin for that instrument -10 year T-note

I'm wondering why when I use WL 8 , my initial margin is enormously large and does not correspond to the margin determined by interactive brokers. Whether and where I need to make some adjustments in WL 8, for the initial margin to be identical to the requirements of Interactive Brokers.
Thanks in advance
Goran

That error message is straight from IB. My guess is that the sizing (number of contracts) was not set properly for your Auto Trading.
Check your Position sizing in WealthLab.

Hi
I checked the number of contracts, and as before it was 1 contract. I tested this strategy and now I want to apply in real trading ( number of contracts is 1)

But again I get the same message

The value of the entire futures contract ( 152.559 USD) is required for initial margin.
And this only happens when I want to trade through WL 8. When I trade through Interactive brokers everything is Ok ( margin is 3.500 USD )

It should be the same margin when I trade through WL 8

How can I solve this problem ?

That's the not the place to set the contracts for Auto-Trading. You're showing the Strategy (Development) Window.
How many contracts are set in the Streaming Auto-Trading Chart Window?

Edit - Okay, I see it in the last image - $5,000.
The question now becomes, what Margin value did you assign to that contract in Markets & Symbols?

That’s it, you need to change the position size in the streaming chart from $5000 to 1 contract 👍

Hi
I think it's Ok now.
In streaming charts I change position size from 5000 to 1 contract.
I place Auto trade, and in a few minutes a buy and sale transaction was realized.

But I noticed another thing. In Log Viewer there was a message " no security definition has been found for ZN " and " could not identify a contract for ZN "

I don't know why it shows such information when on streaming charts, it gives the exact futures contract data that I need.

This information in the log viewer, was not a problem to make the buy or sale transaction with auto trade. Just noticed, and as long as it doesn't cause a trading problem, I don't mind it appearing.

Thanks for the help guys and have a nice day

You can ignore that for futures symbols. Notice that it's not calling out the full contract symbol with the month and year codes.
It's very low on my priority list, but someday I'll get to that "nuisance information".
