Hi
Not getting any feed from Yahoo today.
Not per minute, not per 10 seconds.
This is a first.
My setup is the same as usual.
Wonder if there is an issue with Yahoo.
If not, any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks!

Someone else from San Diego mentioned that on the Discord. Since it's working in Europe, Glitch is going to have to take a look and see what changed at Yahoo! U.S.

Hi,
It is Monday morning and the query: is yahoo finance data feed down today? or not
Cam back with message below BUT my streaming mode is still not working. Wondering if it has to do with recent updates (1.19 or 1.20).
Thanks!
Operational
As of now, Yahoo Finance is operational, and there are no reported outages affecting the service. You can check the current status on platforms like Downdetector or StatusGator, which monitor service health and report any issues23. If you are experiencing problems, it may be specific to your connection or device.

For completeness,
On Friday I was getting a message that Yahoo was down.
Could it be that they were down to make some changes?
Why when the system is now up streaming is not working.
I used 1 minute and 10 second chart windows

Glitch says it's working on the east coast. It seems like we'll need to wait for the problem to propagate in that direction.

It's a good reminder not to depend on Yahoo! for trading. It's a free source that doesn't have a SLA and can break at any time for weeks at a time.

Yahoo streaming seems to be working okay for the Quotes and Price Triggers window in WL Build 120. I'm in Iowa, USA. Maybe you should move to Iowa. :-)

Or at least use a VPN that directs to there :)

Started moving in the direction of IBKR for data and trades.
This will take a while. Meanwhile will rely on Y!.
Y! reminds me of Fidelity. WL did not allow options trades there.
I used to hack the UI to place trades.
Then Fidelity would change something and it would take me a month to catch up.

There may be a more serious problem with Yahoo data. For the World Indices provider with Yahoo as the data source (see screenshot below), many of the Fidelity Select Sector funds haven't been updated since 5/2/2025. This screenshot was taken on 5/7/2025 just after I updated that dataset.

So from which geographical location does Yahoo data for the World Indices come from? Apparently, that geographical location is failing. (I can't speak for the other World Indices hosted by Yahoo because I haven't tried those.)

Are there any other free data providers, besides Yahoo, for the Fidelity Select Sector funds?

Is anyone still seeing a problem with Yahoo! historical or streaming?

fwiw, the Tiingo [major] update is ready in Data Extensions build 32.
