This request maybe complex but it will be one of the most transformative for the platform.

Implementation of essential tools only for automated options trading
No need for extensive tools, just the essential tools are enough for now.

You need to develop the idea more because you can already do automated options trading with Wealth-Lab.

What "essential tools" are you looking for? Be specific. Does this request differ sufficiently from the Options Chain & Greeks feature request?

0.Yes.
1. However, I thought that the team said that they were not able to get the options contracts data from IB / TDA. It was not returning the correct data or something was wrong.
2.Essential tools are same as stated in the link. Calls, Puts. Chains, Greeks

TD's API won't return option chart data. IB (and IQFeed) does.

For current (not expired) contracts only. This makes long term historical backtesting impossible.

Impossible immediately, not forever. Start collecting data for contracts today. Just for the June expiry of Nasdaq 100 symbols, I have over 3,600 contracts. Do that a few times and you'll have plenty to test with.

TDA API supports data for option chain. It is needed to use these API requests to get option chain from TDA, but Currently facing difficulties with implementation. How to get the data using their API ? Any suggestions or comments is appreciated.

We're aware that option chains are available, but you cannot get option chart history from the TD API. (It's a different API than what's available for Think Or Swim, where you can get an option chart.)

In any case, just vote for the feature request for more options support.
