After updating to the latest WL8 and IB connector today, getting the error "Could not obtain historical data for symbol: WKEY". Plain chart, no code.
I was able to see WKEY before the update. Able to get other new tickers, like TSM.

Doesn't happen for me, Daily, intraday.

Troubleshooting steps:
1. If a data request error occurs for whatever reason, that symbol is put on the Provider's "blacklist" for the current WL session. If you did something to correct the condition, to clear the blacklist for the session, do this and try the request again.

2. If that doesn't work and you're sure you have permissions for the data,
a. File > Open WL User Data folder, and close WealthLab
b. Inspect IBContracts.txt and look for a record with your symbol. Mine is this:
WKEY=WKEY|USD|STK|SMART|NASDAQ|WKEY|||0|
You can correct or delete this (and any other record), save, and try again. For example, if the wrong currency or exchange is shown, like CHF or NYSE, then requests will fail for that symbol.

I tried the steps outlined but it didn't help. There was no WKEY line in the IBContracts.txt file. Nevertheless, I right-clicked and followed the clear steps.
Luckily, I have another PC with an older version (105). The WKEY line was on the other PC. I copy/pasted the WKEY line from the other PC, restarted WL and it worked.
Something in the latest WL/IB connector was causing the issue.
Moving forward, I recommend a feature to start WL in debug mode, which generates a detailed log file, to enable troubleshooting.
For now, I'm holding off on updating the other pc.

This isn't a problem with the latest version of software, and WL 107 is certainly not even involved. You can try to place the blame on the IB Provider, but good luck proving that for 1 symbol.
If there was no contract record, it's because the request failed. If you would have looked in the Log Viewer (Ctrl + L) - no extra feature required - it would have showed you that the request failed and often with an explanation.

I will use that feature next time. Thanks for the feedback.
There's no problem with WKEY - 2 computers, no problem.
However, I did notice that first time Daily requests are not receiving an "end of data" callback from IB, but instead are getting a "no data" response for the last batch request. We're waiting the 40 second time out for data that never comes before returning the chart data. And, even though you get the data, a "No Data: Symbol@SMART" message is logged. We'll get this fixed.

Thanks for looking into it!
Btw, any idea how to fix this:
I do not.
You need to determine which extension installed every one of those dll files shown - they aren't part of WealthLab core. Unless you have some custom project going, ask finantic (Dr Koch) about this.

You have a bunch of files that look like they are part of the Windows operating system in your WL8 program files folder. Any idea how they wound up there?
Update: have the same issue I had with WKEY, now with VIXY. Copy/pasted a line in the IBContracts.txt and renamed the ticker to VIXY. VIXY=VIXY|USD|STK|SMART|NYSE
On version 107.
On version 107.
Just see the F1 Help > Extensions > Interactive Brokers. It's explained there how to identify contracts. We can't do all of them.
The record for VIXY would be the following because it's a stock type and BATS is its primary exchange.
VIXY=VIXY|USD|STK|BATS||VIXY|||0|

I never had to do any of it on the desktop. Both WKEY and VIXY worked as soon as I typed them in the chart. It's on the laptop that I have the problems.
