Here is a Print screen of Strategy window and when I click Place Order. This previously use to work when I clicked manually click Place Order.

With the upgrade, I notice that the Broker is now showing Account1.

Then, here is my Place order that does not work. The log on the bottom use to Process the 5 orders.

I don't know anything about the finantic stuff, but for now you should probably uncheck the set of 4 Auto-Remove: check boxes in the Order Manager so that orders aren't deleted before you can see them.

Good point, what's likely happened is that the orders actually did get placed and then immediately deleted.

Hi Larry,

That's a Portfolio Sync error, which you've enabled in Backtest Settings. Since finantic Publisher can't find a matching position in its "account" Portfolio Sync caused the sell to fail. To avoid this, turn off Portfolio Sync in Backtest settings.

Expand the error - "Couldn't find a matching position" to sell. If the broker account doesn't report holding a position, you can't exit it.

@Glitch, correct me if I'm wrong, but if you turn off the Portfolio Synch Trading Preferences, that check for a position would be skipped??

--- you beat me to it.

I am having an issue. I made the above changes and it seems that the error still occurs on Sell signal. Buy signal works fine when that occurs. Here are print screens.

Order Manager:

Expand Error:

Portfolio Sync Off:

Thank you for your help.

Hi Larry,

You're right, this is a basic safeguard built into WL8. DrKoch will need to disable this in his next release of the Publisher. It's a simple change and once that's in place the Exits will work.

DrKoch,

Can you give me a date when this patch can be issued for this current build, or when next build will be issued.

I am hoping this is as soon as possible because I can not use Finantic because it will not work for Sell Signals for this issue.

Thank you,

Larry

Build 4 of finantic.Publisher is out now.

Hello everybody!

I am afraid that the sync problem with Publisher and Sell orders is not solved :-(

Please provide more context.
I see you are using TWS.
How do you send orders to IB?
What do you use finantic.Publisher for?
In Publisher mode or Broker mode?
What are your Portfolio Sync settings?
What exactly is the problem?

Hi All.

I answer here so the question isn't unanswered, as the conversation trough email.

I use Publisher in publisher mode to send signals email and also to create a signal file on a shared Google Drive folder.

The problem is that it only publish the opening but not the closings, it looks like it needs to track price or fillings in order to do the full task.

Are you using Portfolio Sync?

If so then you should diasable it, because Signal Publisher is not a broker that maintains positions to sync back with.

Let the strategy continue without Portfolio Sync and Signal Publisher should then get the sell signals like normal.

Just to don't let unanswered the question. I am not using it, but I know you found what the problem is and that it will be solved next WL build!

Thank you!!

Yes we needed to add a tweak to the Signal Publisher so it can work with finantic Publisher. It’s ready for B39 👍
