I want to exclude a specific month of the year such as September from backtesting, if i drop mnthofyear from powerpack it gives me a dropdown list of many options related to indicator vs other etc. which I dont understand fully. Same thing to exclude a day of week, day of month too

We have an indicator MnthOfYear. Just use Indicator Compare to Value, MnthOfYear is not equal to (whatever month you want to exclude)
Yeah, no need to use an OR Divider here at all.
Specifically, do this...
In the Building Blocks pane on the left, drag the Indicator Compare to Value condition into your building block...
Then, in the condition block (within the building block) you need to change the Indicator value to MnthOfYr, the is value to not equal to, and the Value to 9 or whatever you want to use, like this...
