Would it be possible to add a note/ label as freetext to a building block?
And also collapse all BB in a multigroup. Or put them into a group for organisational purposes, and put a label on them? This would be nice since it might be busy on the screen otherwise.

You can already collapse blocks with gear icon on the right.
Is the idea to collapse even more? Why?
We can make the label thing a feature request.
For now, just use Description block in the Strategy Settings for notes, though processes, etc..

Looks like an unnecessary eye candy to me, complicating the code base even further.

Yes, the other day I needed 8 BB to filter out a qandlestick formation, with qualifiers. The qualifiers don't collapse much.
And then to improve the hit rate, I needed to add extra indicators. At that time I figured, it would be nice if I could group and collapse the 8 related BB into a small line.

Did you try the Candlestick Group feature? It might help reduce the clutter of blocks.
