Hi. I too, find IQFeed to be great so far, but I did not need to change my password.
I wonder if you can stream in a 1 Minute basis?

Problem I'm having with IQFeed though, is that it will provide only 1 year of data to me through WealthLab. The data Manager page provides only 259 bars on a daily basis for T, for example, and the Periodic Returns tab confirms this on a backtest of any other symbol.

I spoke with IQFeed, they said talk to WL.

Sounds to me like you need only to adjust the Date Range.

For a chart, click the dates in the bottom of the chart window to adjust them.
You can adjust the default range for new charts in Preferences (F12) > Data.

No, I have that set at 10 years.

Cone, I know you use IQFeed. Can you download and backtest over a 10 year period?

MY TDA account returns 7,857 Daily bars on the WL Historical Data Loading Testbed using Symbol T, but only 250 using IQFeed.

The IQFeed Tech Support person demonstrated today that they are pushing 8463 Daily datapoints, from back as far as Jan1 1990, but I am able to consume only the 250 above (1 year).

They told me I needed to reach out to WL8 Tech support to isolate the problem.

It's a configuration problem. Show me your configuration, and show me your "All Data" chart. Make sure the screenshot has the chart's status bar.

OK Cone, Will do. But how do I show you my "configuration"?
Configuration of what?

These are the main parts -

But if you'd just show us 1 chart like Glitch did with the Provider showing in the status bar, it would go a long way.

It gives me something to try.

I wouldn't expect a problem with that configuration, but it's a bad idea to select "All Data" for the loading default. There's a checkbox to "Always load All Data for Daily+ Scale", but do you really want to load 10+ years of history for a 1-minute chart that you're viewing today?

You can always change the chart's data range later, and, when you're backtesting you can set any data range you like, separately. But defaulting to "All Data" for intraday charts is a bad idea, generally. I'd recommend changing that to 1000 or 2000 bars.

Now, your chart range, for T only starts from 7/28/2022. I wouldn't expect that given the default. What does the Data control show when you click on those dates at the bottom of the chart? What happens when you try different data settings there?

For me, T loads bars back to 1996 (Daily bars) and back to 6/4/2007 for intraday data using your data configuration.

What's version of the IQFeed client are you using?

IQFeed Connection Manager?
How do I open that? I've never even seen that before, Geeezz.

It's part of the IQFeed program group, installed by IQFeed. (Regardless, it's always accessible directly as EXE from the IQFeed installation folder).

You must have installed the IQFeed Client. It's this thing in your system tray. It's the app that connects to IQFeed with your first request from a WealthLab session.

OK I found it. Still cannot receive more than a year of data.
Both WealthLab and TDA will give me 10 years of data but NOT IQData.

Is it possible that my firewall is a problem?

firewall? I don't see how it would be a problem. At the risk of repeating...

Nothing at all happens when I click a date in the chart, or even when I "Reload Chart Data from the provider". Changing settings does nothing either

Can you share the screen shot of your chart with the status bar like I did above?

Thx Cone, but when I click on the data range and attempt to change it, it changes nothing in the chart whatsoever. 7/28/22 is still my starting date

You could try the nuclear option to see if fixes whatever is causing this:
Right click IQFeed in HistoricalProviders and Delete Local Files.
