Any plans to expand broker options, it's pretty limited?

We’re working on a TradeStation extension at the moment.

Random thoughts -

1. Which brokers should be supported? There are hundreds to choose from, so those that are most popular with WealthLab customers will be supported. If yours isn't, then create a feature request for it. Then we can gauge the interest.

2. TD Ameritrade is [still] supported, but they stopped accepting new API customers. When the Schwab transition is completed (has taken years), we'll support Schwab too.

3. Assuming one offers the trading products you need, it's easy to create an account at a supported broker.

Is the user base more stocks than futures or pretty equal? I have no idea. I'm guessing stocks based on Fidelity history.

We don't have a way to know that, but just in general more people "invest" and trade stocks.
Personally, I trade stocks, futures, options, and cryptos.

Fidelity has the best fills and is only one with free comms on OTC/pinks. For Aussie and London and a few TSX nanocaps look out for $50 fee though.

I have had just about every broker, Fidelity shines for fills. They beat the mid commonly. IB has worst fills often the worst possible. Which is good for painting the tape but bad for profits.

Many "discount" brokers keep the price improvements when you trade. And that's why there's slightly more delay when trading with them; they hold the trade to fetch a better piece of the action. I'm a Fidelity customer, and Fidelity actually let's you keep the price improvements on a trade and their fills are quick.

That said, I "think" Fidelity dislikes "high frequency" traders. They provide many excellent tools for stock research and prefer more conservative traders. And that "maybe" why they don't offer an API for individuals to trade with. So WealthLab doesn't have a broker plugin for Fidelity. But you can still place trades manually with their trading platform, Active Trader Pro.

Don't agree! Without a doubt, IB is the quickest to activate and fill at the inside market.
