I'm checking the basic Saylor Schiff strategy. It uses BTC.USD and GLD, and works fine if All data is specified. If I specify Most Recent 20/100/1000 years, or a years range 2005-2025, I will aways get the first trade in 28.06.2020.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you

QUOTE:What makes that work fine? When's the first trade?

What's the range of the data history in the chart for:
All Data?
Most Recent n Years?
And importantly, which Provider is displayed at the bottom of the chart?
I use the original unchanged strategy provided when I install WL8.
With the original settings

It works fine (from 2010)

With Most Recent 1000/100/20 years

The first trade is from 2020

I made a screenshot of the entire strategy window as I'm not sure about the Provider

Hope this helps
I can't explain or duplicate that, but I did find something that Glitch can look into that somehow plays into it.
1. Delete your CryptoCompare BTC.USD Daily file
2. Restart WL and request and All Data chart for BTC.USD from CC.
You'll get the full range back to 2010.
3. Now "Reload Chart Data from Provider".
Now the chart data only goes back to 3/10/2020. The StartDate to GetHistoryInternal() is this date.
Consequently, I see how the chart data is being limited, but it doesn't have anything to do with the Data Range selection.

1. Closed WL
2. removed BTC.USD.QX from AppData\Roaming\WealthLab8\Cryptocompare\Daily\
3. loaded BTC.USD chart
4. run the strategy
Same result

@PavelKud, try to change system date format to US
No luck
I can't duplicate it at my end, when I switch to most recent 1000, 100 years I get the same results as All Data. If you want to schedule a support call so I can see your session and maybe notice something write me at support@wealth-lab.com.
