Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to the community because I've been encountering some challenges with importing data. Despite following the usual procedures, I'm running into a few specific problems that I can't seem to resolve on my own.

These are the data for the 1-minute scale on December 20, 2023, at 6 AM:

These data were imported with the following settings:

The data seem correct on the 1-minute chart:

However, they appear incorrect on charts in other scales:

Enabling the option "Adjust bar timestamps from start-of-bar to end-of-bar," the 1-minute chart remains correct.

But it remains incorrect on other scales

Here is a comparison on TradingView

Edit: I'm sorry, the images were in low resolution. If there is another way to send them.

In the data preview, it shows the calculated Scale as Daily. That would leave me to believe that there's probably something wrong with the date consistency somewhere in the file.

Cone, thank you for your help!
In the same folder, there are other CSVs at different time scales. Here is when I only use the M1. I checked the same problem.

TradingView is not using your 1-minute ASCII data to compress to 60-minute bars, right? Are you saying WL8 is compressing the 1-minute bars to 60-minute incorrectly? Just comparing the chart to TradingView doesn't mean anything.

I looked at the OHLC values that would be in the 60-minute candle in the CSV from TickStory between 2023-12-20 06:00:00 and 2023-12-20 06:59:00.

They can also be obtained by looking at the M1 chart in WL8.

The same OHLC values in the 1-Minute TickStory CSV, I observe on the 60-minute chart of TradingView, where I verify that these different data sources present the same value for OHLC of this candle, and it is the same value that I obtain manually in the 1-minute CSV.

When I use the M1 data imported into WL8 to plot on the 60-minute scale, I do not get the same values for this candle, even when changing the option "Adjust bar timestamps from start-of-bar to end-of-bar".

I can't understand where I am making the mistake 🤔

GIven your last image, it's probably because you didn't check to "Adjust bar timestamps..."

Almost ALL intraday providers give you data with Start-of-bar timestamps. They must be converted to End-of-bar for scaling functions to work correctly.

If you email us the file we'll be able to get to the bottom of it. Support@wealth-lab.com.

Otherwise this is all just guesswork.

Ok, that was hard to catch. As I had mentioned in the topic, I had tested it with and without the 'Adjust bar timestamps...' option. However, it seems that once the data is imported without the option being checked, setting it afterwards by checking this option in the dataset does not have an effect, even after restarting WL8.

That's the ASCII cache working. You'll need to delete that.
Close WealthLab and delete this folder: C:\Users\rober\AppData\Roaming\WealthLab8\AsciiCache
