It might be nice to have a shared drive of some type for everyone to share different research papers or articles. I have some I would like to share and I would be interested in what other have come across. Is there a way to attach a pdf to a post?

I think the optimal solution could be to allow users to attach PDF files. Such topics can be tagged to facilitate the content search.

As suggested at the last round table I think there should be a second source of user editable information besides the discussion forum.

My suggestion was: A wiki style set of information pages.
A collection of books, articles papers would fit there perfectly.

I think I like the forum idea better because it also allows for a discussion on the research presented. I feel like the discussion is as informative as the research. It also seems like a lot less work ;-)

Having a new tag like #Research to bring up everything. Does it make sense to have subtopics ?

I do like the wiki for links and such. The bad thing about that is that the links die as websites die or change name. I always clip interesting pages in evernote so I always have a copy to reference.

If we start introducing subtopics we start reinventing the wiki wheel. We could create a wiki using a third party wiki service but adding a #Research tag to our forum would be quick and easy to accomplish. But we’d have to add support for pdf attachments to our forum too.
