TDA data is really slow and keeps giving "too many requests" errors.

Thanks in advance.

TDA - right, the streaming feed has a lot of latency (about 2 seconds), but if you can accept that, it works fine for streaming maybe a few dozen symbols.

IQFeed - 500 simultaneous, tick-by-tick streaming symbols with the basic subscription. Best all-around choice (you get what you pay for).

IB streaming is good too. You just have to buy extra quote packs for more than 100. It works great for Quote Mgr EOD triggering. (Like TDA it's conflated data, not true tick-by-tick, but certainly doesn't have the latency TDA has.) The problem for IB is getting a lot of historical data quickly.

Thanks.

If I download historical minute or daily data but then don't continue the subscription after a couple of months, is the data stored locally and still accessible? Or does it become inaccessible?

If it's stored locally any idea how much space it takes for about 200 stocks for minute data from 2007 (that's how far back they go)?

Thank you

Unless you chose to "Delete local files" in WL7 (Data Manager > Historical Providers > right click) or delete downloaded files otherwise, downloaded historical data is kept on the machine. If you need more info please start a new topic (this one concerns "reliable streaming quotes"), thanks.
