it appears some of the sounds (Saving of Strategy, Workspace ... and Signal sounds) are active in WL8; despite an empty box selection in Sounds Preferences. is there anyway to turn all WL8 sounds off?

I'm not finding this to be the case. When I mute the Strategy save sound, for example, then I do not hear the sound when I save a Strategy. Nor do I hear the sound then I "mute all sounds".
Clicking "Mute all Sounds" does indeed stop sounds. WL7/WL8 conversion had omitted the "Mute all" checkmark from WL7. Thank you, all good now
