So windows just did an update and I am having trouble starting wealth lab. First on starting it said that an error occurred while starting referring a file location saying it is being used by another process. I click on the icon and screen comes up with the home page says it is starting wealth lab 7 and checking license. But after a bit it will close itself off the screen. I click on the icon again and this process repeats itself (over and over).

What to do?

At first, I'd try a force close on all WealthLab7 instances stuck from the Task Scheduler before starting another copy.

Then, I'd move some configuration files from c:\Users\Windows username\AppData\Roaming\WealthLab7\ to another folder to see if they're corrupt: Settings.txt and FormSettings.dat.

Hi Eugene. So once I move these files what do I do. How will I tell if they are corrupt? And if they are what do I do then?

Just try to start normally. Those files will be recreated automatically. If it works, then something in one of those files was likely causing the problem.

Well I am not sure what happened but it just now started up normally and well.

By the way, this iteration of this program to me is much better than the previous version. Kudos to the developers.
