Hi I have noticied when i use the strategy monitor on a 5 min system ( with around 20 or less symbols) with TD Ameritrade, that the timing is different than when i open up a regular chart window for a symbol and drag the strategy over to the chart window.
ITs off by about 5 min. Why if i have the same strategy monitor running the strategy monitor as in the chart window would the time be off. Example i get a buy trigger for QQQ in the strategy monitor, when i open the chart window with the same exact strategy same time period 5 min. I dont see a buy signal.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

To make a comparison for the same exact strategy, did you right click the strategy in the SM and choose "Open in a strategy window"? Anything else could be error prone due to different parameters.

Also, you must use either Polling or Streaming Bars for the data to be the same as in a historical chart. In short, TD 'Streaming' will not produce precisely the same data as a historical chart. This is covered in Extensions > TD Ameritrade > Data.
