We’ve just released the Tai-Pan Data Provider extension for WealthLab 8.

This extension integrates historical daily and intraday market data from TAI-PAN / Lenz + Partner. It provides broad coverage across many European markets (and also includes U.S. coverage), and it installs with several pre-filled DataSets so you can begin backtesting right away.

Important difference vs other providers:
TAI-PAN requires you to log in from inside WealthLab via Extensions → TAI-PAN. It does not use the usual Data Manager credential flow. Also, you must have a paid TAI-PAN account with Lenz + Partner for the extension to work.

If you try it out, please post any feedback, symbol coverage notes, or questions in this thread, especially around intraday usage and markets you’re pulling.

Enjoy!

A huge thank you, Glitch! I
I'll try it out; I've been using this data for 25 years with the Taipan-Software

Thank you for the Tai Pan extension.

It seems to work for me for EOD data and streaming intraday data, but not for historical intraday data.

It has a very strange behaviour, that when I start WL, the possibility to download intrady data seems to be there (see picture), but when I then try to download the intraday data, only the possibility to download EOD data and higher is left.

Same, if I then try to make a new dataset (see picture 2):

If I then restart WL, the game starts from the beginning, the possibility to download intraday data is again visible, but if I try to download it, only the possibility to download EOD data is left until I restart WL... Is it only me that has this problem?

Please provide these details to L&P as well since they develop the extension.

I will do that, but my hopes are not very high they solve the problem. So I really like their product and used it since 2007, their technical support is in my experience not that supportive.... I will contact the support of TP as well...
