I have two charts open, with two different symbols, neither one is SPY. The same C# strategy is applied. I saved as a new workspace, and closed WL. When I opened WL and the workspace, one of my symbols had been replaced with SPY. I changed it to the proper symbol and saved the workspace. Closing and re-opening WL and the workspace resulted again in a symbol being replaced with SPY.

SPY is the default symbol on Strategy Settings > Backtest data > Single symbol. (You could change it and click "Save as default for new strategies".) Apparently this is the source which replaces your symbol in the workspace.

Yes, SPY is the default symbol. But isn't one of the purposes of saving a workspace to expect that the same symbols saved would come up ?

The answer is yes! We'll look into that. Thanks for reporting.

One more observation: my two symbols were streaming in the charts with strategy. I walked away from my computer. Came back and the same chart's symbol was again replaced with SPY. The other one was ok.

There was another forum thread that talked about this earlier. WorkSpaces don't override the information that's saved in the Strategy Settings. It was determined that this is probably something we should change, so I turned this topic into a #FeatureRequest and you can upvote it in the Wish List.

A current workaround is to create clones of the Strategy and save the different settings along with each one, then open each Strategy clone and save the WorkSpace.
