In wl6 strategy monitor (SM) I ran a strategy that simply created an historical csv file of the price data for every symbol in the dataset. In wl7 SM doesnt behave the same way. It simply makes a csv of the last symbol read in the dataset. any clues as to how to set up SM or the strategy to create csv files for each symbol?

Why would you need the strategy monitor to accomplish this? Just run your strategy against a portfolio in the strategy window.
Regardless it should still work in the strategy monitor, but until we see the full code for the strategy (or a minimal example) we can’t give an answer.
