It would be helpful to be able to
a) multi select and
b) drag and drop the signals generated by Strategy Monitor to a specific Quote Window.

That would allow one to have 1 quote window for signals generated by multiple strategies.

What's the point in having it given that each Quotes window can stage/place signals to its own account and/or broker?

Hi Eugene,
I run combinations of 6-10 strategies across multiple brokers, of which most produce limit orders of some type. If I use the button "Send to Quotes Window" it opens up a new quote window for each strategy/account combination. I then have (20-30) quote windows running when I really only need 3 (1 for each account). If I could avoid this if I could drag the signals to the appropriate quote window. Alternatively, if the logic for "Send to Quotes Window" looked for the Streaming Provider set for the strategy in the Strategy Monitor and added the signals to that quote window that would work as well.

Hmm I will see if we can improve that logic to send signals to a quotes window based on account only.

Wouldn't the logic be based on streaming provider not account?

Well, currently each Quote window is configured to use one account and one streaming provider. I was assuming all signals from the same account would leverage the same streaming provider.

Hey Dion,
I think I may be confused.

Strategy Monitor has the following info, Streaming Provider, Broker and Account

The signals generated by Strategy Monitor only have Account? Broker and Streaming Provider is lost? I was thinking that information was still there just not shown. I was also incorrectly assuming that since the signal had the account that a Quote Window would route the trade to the correct broker connection regardless of Broker selected in the Quotes Window.

Just a thought, but it might be nice if that information was carried through so the Send to Quotes Window created windows based upon those Account/Broker/Streaming Provider unique combinations. Or alternatively the quote window could route to multiple brokers depending on the Account/Broker combination.

It's a bit confusing because the quote window Broker drop down actually select account not broker.

The Signals generated by the SM have both Broker and Account.

And, the Quotes window drop down allows you select Broker AND Account ...

I tagged this with #FeautureRequest. For futures requests, you can even add the tag yourself when you're creating the topic. This will save us a bit of work having to go back and add the #FeatureRequest tag manually.

Not meaning to beat a dead horse, but if signals already have broker and account, the only thing that in theory differentiates one quote window from another is the trigger information (streaming provider, Auto-Place, Threshold, etc) ? You shouldn't need to specify broker/account in the quote window.

You can also open a Quote window manually, from the menu. So we need a way to allow people to specify a broker/account.
