I am running the Strategy Evolver in WL8 B29. I pressed stop many minutes ago, and it won't stop. Its stuck at generation 111.
I am running on Windows 11, with AMD 5950x (16 cores, 32 logical). Only two of the cores seem to be being used. WL8 is using about 3% of the CPU total. The strategy evolver totals are not updating.

Rename
The strategy evolver window was responsive - I could drag it around. I closed it, and it didn't hesitate. Maybe the strategy evolver threads were stopped, but the UI didn't get updated.
Frankly that sounds normal, sometimes it comes up with a laggard. How long did you wait and what ultimately happened?

I estimate that it was about 15 minutes, because I was off manually trading COIN in ThinkOrSwim (not a happy ending). In any case, I ran the strategy evolver a few more times, stopping it each time, and the problem did not occur.
If you notice it again, click on the lagging Strategy, it could be a particular indicator that you can then exclude using the new Preference feature.
