WL8 can't run on certain virtual machines, you could try a different one or run it on a non-virtual PC?

There is no mistake. WL8 has a sophisticated detection of different virtual and sandbox environment and various debugger tools. If your device has it installed, kindly consider deleting it prior to launching WL.

I'm having this problem as well. Is it because I have VMWare Workstation installed or possibly because of WSL? I am not trying to run it inside of a virtual machine.

You should shut any VM services down even if its frontend doesn't appear to be running.

Re: WSL - no, it's not a factor.

Today I also faced the problem. I have a physical server with Windows Server 2019 installed. I also have VMWare with Ubuntu installed on the server. Getting the same message

I'm not running Wealth-Lab on a virtual machine, it's running on the host Windows Server 2019. Does it a restriction that I can't run Wealth-Lab in such a configuration?

Do I need to completely uninstall VmWare or only stop the Ubuntu VM (and VMWare services as mentioned by Eugene) first to run Wealth-Lab? Can I run Ubuntu VM afterwards?

The Ubuntu VM has Docker Desktop installed with a docker image. If I manage to run Docker directly under Windows Server 2019, will it prevent Wealth-Lab from running?

Thanks

I think you need to stop the services temporarily to get to the point to download your license. After that, it shouldn't be a problem.
