As read on the page https://www.wealth-lab.com/blog/interactive-brokers-auto-trade I use STRATEGY MONITOR and activated the strategy with 'auto stage'.
At 15h31 (local time) there was a scan which gave a list of candidates (left).
When connecting to IB I first choosed 'polling' but changed it to 'streaming'. Altough that is only recommended for intraday strategies, I assume that my strategy that uses "a 3% buy limit under yesterdays close", needs streaming, right?
I selected the list and staged them. Now they are in the order manager (right).
It seems ok but I have no clue. Will find out soon but:
- do I have to select that list (left) everyday or will WL update this each day at the opening for example.
- and they will be sent to order manager each day?

QUOTE:No. And, don't even use intraday data.

Configure for daily data, polling, and set the run time to any time before the market opens.
You can Auto-Place all the orders each day with IB if you want, but another option is to use the Quotes tool to only place orders that are marketable. That involves a little manual effort to set up at the start of the day.
Don't get it. How can there be a buy signal (during autotrading) when the stock is going 4% (or 3% whatever) lower than the previous close if there is no intraday data or streaming?
OR your mean: there needs to be a CLOSE 3% below the PREVIOUS CLOSE and than a buy on the next open?
But the strategy is really buying at the price of 4% lower than the previous close.
That is how it's tested.

Because they're Limit orders. If the order is active with broker, it will fill at the Limit price or better. You don't have to monitor it.
But, again, instead of placing all your orders with the broker (most brokers won't allow that), you can send the Signals to the Quotes tool, which uses streaming data to monitor prices. With Auto-Place selected, you can let the Quotes tool place the orders when the limit price is reached, or just before that by using a threshold slightly less than 100%.
