You can try to delete all data in the Data Manager and download it from scratch.

To do this, I recommend this approach -

1. File > Open Wealth-Lab User Data folder (opens File Explorer)
2. Close Wealth-Lab
3. In File Explorer, click back to the Roaming folder and Rename the WealthLab7 (or WealthLab8) folder to something else, like WealthLab7_old. You can use this folder to copy your Strategies, data or whatever.
4. When you start Wealth-Lab again, a new WeatlhLab7/8 folder will be created - fresh from the factory!
5. Before copying your strategies to the new data folder, close Wealth-Lab first.

You should describe your steps in detail. What exactly you could not manage?

I managed to get a factory new WL7 now! But I am facing problems with the historical data provider update. Alert: "Please choose desired bar scales and update provider DataSet(s) first". What is to do exactly?

Or just run a backtest without explicitly updating. The no-so-best-kept-secret about Wealth-Lab 7/8 is that you don't have to update your data. Wealth-Lab will get it when it needs it.
