Started using AI to edit strategies. It requires closing and re-opening WL for changes to take effect.

Are you using the MCP interface to have an AI control WealthLab? The MCP interface has the ability to save strategies in WealthLab without requiring a restart. Try telling the AI to save a Strategy. You can also have it run Strategies directly in the WL UI.
I do. But since the strategy file is big it eats my tokens much, much faster than reading from file system.

You can tell it to run the strategy in a WealthLab Strategy window.
