I am trying to find a pattern I liked in a chart that occur a year ago. I am going back n PriceGrid Editor chart a year ago, I then reloaded chart data from provider in PriceGrid editor. I set the "Go to date" to a specific date but get a message.
The message: I am getting "the date is not in the chart's range and to click the date range below the chart". There is not date range in the PriceGrid editor chart. I opened a chart from the WL menu I then loaded more of the same symbol data there but still get the same message in PriceGrid editor. Please advise. Thank you.

Just open a normal Chart window, not the PriceGrid Editor. Then drag over the PriceGridCF Indicator onto the chart. Select the PriceGrid pattern you're interested in from the Indicator parameters dialog.
You can now find the pattern going as far back as you need to in a normal chart.

I haven't created the PriceGrid pattern yet. I am trying to create a new pattern based on the chart pattern (price formation if you will) I saw a year ago.
Like other charts in WL8, the PriceGrid Editor chart uses the Preferences you have set under Preferences/Data to control how much data is loaded into the chart. Here I changed it to 1 year so I was able to go back 1 year in the PriceGrid Editor chart using 5-minute data.
Thank you that works. You do have to close PriceGrid editor window and re open it for the data to load it seems. But it loaded ok.
