This is a seemingly minor request that would be a huge quality-of-life improvement: when clicking "Save As", can you please auto-fill the text input field with the current filename?

I'm ashamed to admit how many times each day I save various versions of the same strategy, and every time, I have to carefully type the entire filename over again so that I can add some minor suffix at the end. Some of my strategy names get quite long and descriptive, so I'm spending a surprisingly large amount of time retyping strategy names over and over (and trying to avoid typos each time).

What you're proposing will make it easier to overwrite the source strategy with your edits and lose its state. The risk to ignore the warning dialog at this step and still overwrite is high.

To stay on the safe side WL ought automatically add a variation to the name, even if it's as small as appended "..." or "V{n}", where {n} stands for some version number.

You don't have to type it in again. Select the same folder as the original strategy, click on it (fills the name), and add your revision number.

Same for me.
I had plans to file this very same #FeatureRequest several times...

Suggestion:
Prefill the filename in the File Selection Box with the current strategy name and if this name already exists add some version number (as Windows does with names like "filename(2)") or even better the current date/time:
CODE:
filename-2024-07-24_0841

love this justification...

Seems like a Windows standard to do this, so let's do it for B95!

Thanks guys, this will be much appreciated. @Cone: I have thousands of strategy files, so finding the specific one I need to click can be fairly cumbersome.
