Any chance you can make it such that there is ONE repository for all ASCII OHLC files and one can create different datasets from that?

No. One can't mix ASCII DataSets which can have wildly different formats in one folder.
I am talking same format and different sets. So for example. I have ascii folder with 5000 stocks and I want to create a dataset from data in that folder that ONLY holds biotechs.
You have to extract biotechs into a subfolder or elsewhere and create a new ASCII DataSet out of it.
I realize that. That is why I am asking if in the future you can look into one ASCII repo and creating different data sets off of that.

You can create unlinked DataSets and then place your ASCII Data Provider at the top of the list in the Data Manager. WL will look there first when trying to find data for the symbols in the unlinked DataSet.
