I found the following with neurolab.
Open neurolab and create a new network
Train network
Go to evaluation tab
Sort on 'Avg Output'
Sort on 'Indicator Value'. It does not sort and the 'Avg Output' sort seems to still be active.

This is not a bug. That's how WL8's multi-column sort order works across the application.

there does not seem to be any way to unselect a sort once applied. I would anticipate that one clisk would sort down, the next would sort up, and the next would unselect. The link you provided states that the last field clicked would be the primary sort. I do not see that behavior. After the first sort selection, subsequent clicks do not have any effect.
Thanks for reporting, there's a bug with the NeuroLab Indicator column sort. It will be fixed for the next release cycle.
