Currently am trying to work in multi currency using JPY as a base currency. I keep on getting - Error getting History (USDJPY) for EODHD and the back test engine is unbelievably slow, obviously because there is an error each time it calls for information.

As a solution I have told it to only use Yahoo Data by linking my data set and have instructed it to only take data from the selected data source but it keeps trying to get Forex data from EODHD. - USDJPY, USD.JPY, JPYUSD, JPY.USD and cycles through them in error.

As I can't seem to stop it trying to take data from EODHD, I have tried to correct this.
I know EODHD has its own format for Forex crosses. I have been into the data manager settings and linked them As an example I have entered "USDJPY=USDJPY.FOREX" and "[USDJPY=USDJPY.FOREX]" when this did not work. I have entered all possible crosses but this has not fixed the error in any way. It still defaults to the wrong symbols.

What is strange I have downloaded all the crosses onto the machine with the .FOREX suffix from EODHD so I know the data is available.

Any ideas would be welcome!

Which EODHD subscription do you have? (All-in-one or All World Extended is needed.)
Have you looked for more information in the Log Viewer? (Ctrl+L)

It's not required to add the .FOREX extension for EODHD in WealthLab, which does that automatically when requesting the data.

Wealth-Data has the currency pairs required for multicurrency backtests. Make sure it's enabled and try again.

Create, Save, and Export a "minimal Strategy" with all your settings that demonstrates the problem. If it's a portfolio backtest, send us the symbol list in the portfolio. If you can do it with just 1 symbol, even better. Send to support@wealth-lab.com.

Also send a snapshot images of:
1. Preferences > Backtest
2. Data Manager > Historical Providers (showing the list of check providers)
