Hi there,

Is there a way I can use building blocks to give me a sell signal when the MACD crosses below the zero line just like shown in the screenshot attached?

I can't figure out a way to do it. I'm sorry if I'm asking something obvious, but I can't find a way to do it.

Thank you.

What about the "Indicator Crosses Indicator" block?

Since the request if for it crossing below zero, Indicator Crosses Value would be the correct choice. And it looks like this is the MACDHist indicator depicted.

Hi guys,

Thank you both for your answer.

I'm familiar with the "Indicator crosses Indicator" and I have used it multiple times when testing strategies with moving averages and such. However, I don't know which indicator to use to make the MACD line cross the MACD signal. Also, this cross needs to happen below the MACDHist zero line (just like in the image).

I found this indicator (sMACDSignal), but I don't know what the s* at the start of MACDSignal stands for. I've tested it and it does not give accurate results comparing with TradingView and other charts that I use.

So I'm really lost.

This test is super important to me.

Thank you again.

The MACD signal line is simply the 9-day EMA of the MACD. There you have the "Indicator crosses signal line" condition. Just choose the EMA (9) as the smoother. Voila.

You can add an extra condition to check for "Indicator Compare to Value" between the MACD components, right?

This is not the right indicator. The related sMACD indicator's description gives a clue for what the "s" at the start may mean.
