This problem keeps bothering me. I still don't have a solution that works reliably.
1. no multiple entries allowed
-Here it happens again and again that the limitation of the number of positions is not respected
2. multiple entries allowed
-Here I would like to know how the number of positions is counted:
A: In the account? Multiple entries would be one position
B: In the trading system of WL? Then each new purchase of a share would be an extra position.

Furthermore, I would like to point out that it is currently not possible to run multiple trading systems in parallel, because the settings apply to all trading system that are active in WL. It would be better if this was assigned to each trading system and account.

No idea what you mean. Missing context.

There's no reliable way to determine how different shares for a single symbol were purchased (or shorted) in a single account. We can't solve the problem because broker APIs don't provide that information. Even if we saved the fill info on a per strategy basis, it would be immediately out of sync with the first discretionary trade you execute. Then what?

The first half of the statement is misleading. You can trade multiple systems in parallel. What you're saying is that the Thresholds apply to all the trading, not per account.

Depending on the type of trading you do, you may be able control thresholds on a per strategy basis with code in the Strategy.

Account-basis Thresholds has been discussed, and it's a popular idea, but I don't see a feature request for it.

@Glitch, what's your opinion of "Account Thresholds"?
Do you see it as a possibility?

I think it would require a Threshold configuration button everywhere you select an account.
1. The Trading Preferences Thresholds could be the default values.
2. The per-account metadata could be saved with the account id.

Keine Ahnung, was du meinst. Fehlender Kontext.

I wanted to distinguish here between single and multiple entries. Im trading my systems the limti signals in qoutes. The problem is that the trading system more often buys more positions than are allowed and I thus buy on margin. I had already communicated this in the past. In addition, I sometimes have positions in the depot, which are not as Positon in the trading system of WL. I then have to manage them manually.

Yes, that's right. I should have added that I am talking about trading systems that buy by limit in qoutes.

Hi Lukas,

I noticed you've been encountering issues with the Threshold setting for multiple strategies involving limit orders. I had similar concerns and found a discussion thread in the wishlist that tackles this issue. Here's the link for your reference:

https://www.wealth-lab.com/Discussion/Control-Max-Open-Positions-Threshold-in-Strategy-Monitor-9975

If this feature request outlined in this thread aligns with what you're looking to accomplish, you might consider casting your vote to get it prioritized.

Regards,
Spacious
