I have used this data provider for almost 30 years since I found it to have the best combination of breadth (stock, options, and futures for many Markets) and accuracy. I have been using it through the ASCII adapter but it would sure be great if there was a native adapter.
Back in the old days (WL4), there was a programmer who used the CSI API to connect it seamlessly. I looked at the API a couple of years ago, and the example that WL6 provided for connection, but it was beyond my capabilities I soon found. My attempt never succeeded.
CSI (http://www.csidata.com/) has partnered with several other software providers to develop this seamless integration and was hoping that this request might make it into the "New Features" pipeline.

Wow that's a name from the past! Hmmm, they're in Florida, maybe I should call them up and see if I can meet with them to talk about an integration ...
Yes, Bob Pelletier was one of the first data vendors to recognize the value of very clean data for the proper design of trading systems. I had MANY fruitful conversations with him over the years. He, unfortunately, passed away a couple of years ago after a long battle with poor health. But CSI still seems to have some of the best data still.
Good luck with your conversations!

I've marked this topic as feature request for "adapter to CSI Data" so that interested users may vote for this wishlist item.
Thanks Eugene!

Glitch,
Did you ever get a chance to contact CSI and see if you could work out some arrangement?

Not yet, I am working on the other higher priority items and will need to wait until the CSI item rises up toward the top of the wish list.
I was just wondering if CSI was at least interested in partnering so that the extent of the potential task would be known.

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to contact them yet. I'll report back as soon as I do!
Glitch,
I know that you have been busy pumping out new Builds one after another, but I was wondering if you might get a chance to contact CSI to see if this MIGHT be in the realm of the possible? Thanks!

I'm waiting for this request to float to the top. But good news, WealthSignals Trader is almost completed!

Great to hear!!
OK, now that this item is rising to near the top of the wish list, I just composed an email to CSI Data so let's see what they have to say!
Good luck!
It is a shame that Bob Pelletier passed away a few years ago or I could have provided you an introduction.

No reply at all from CSI so far, maybe it might help is some of their customers email them as well asking them about an integration.
Will definitely do so.

Heard back from someone at CSI, looks like there's a good chance this will move forward!
Great! I hope that my little push helped in some way. :)

Update: The person I'm in touch with seems determined to steer us into just connecting to ASCII exported data, and not a native connection. I'm trying via LinkedIn to get some other connections within CSI so with me luck :)
Best of luck! 🤞

They're providing us a version of UA with API access, commencing the 3gig download now...
SUCCESS! Great job! 👍
Made some solid progress thanks to the help of Josh over at CSI ...
Congrats!
This was fast - as always....

Still need to work on futures support including continuous contracts.
Kudos!!

Hey Vince, stock integration is complete. Do you use futures as well? They haven't yet approved my account for futures and I asked them to do so, let's see if we can complete this extension with futures!
Great! Thanks Dion!!
I do not use Futures presently so I have let that portion of my subscription lapse. All of my recent contract work has been in baskets of equities.
BTW, are you planning to also do the Options?

Vince
What do they offer in terms of options? Do they have historical data for expired contracts? If not I don't think it's worth it.
PS - my futures access is approved so on to completing this.

CSI has both Equity and Futures Historical Option data. See attached list of the Equity Options data that CSI offers.
And here are the Futures Options
And just to round out their offerings, they have near-World Wide data

Dion,
Now you know why the DL was 3GB! ;)

We're working on implementing the vast array of futures continuous contracts that CSI offers. My account doesn't have options access so I won't be able to implement options. If this is something important to anyone, lobby CSI to provide options data for my test account :)
Dion,
Looks great! Will WL7 and WS support Options? If so I will work on CSI.
