I keep getting this error when trying to create a new dataset from ASCII. Image of dialog (Date and Open are both present but not visible) below and first few lines of one of the files below that. Not sure if it's relevant but when I click "Open first ASCII file in Notepad" it actually opens the 14th. Have tried changing the first period in the filename to an underscore, just in case, but no difference. I can save the format OK, but when I click the Next button, the error appears. Any suggestions much appreciated. Thx.

Try removing the ticker Named Series. A Named Series needs to be a numeric field. If it still fails email us the file at support@wealth-lab.com.

It's not necessary to add the filler if the fields are at the end. It meant as a way to deal with columns in the middle of the file.
