I'm having what I "thought" were IQFeed connectivity problems. But I ran the IQFeed diagnostic tool and I don't see any problems. Instinct tells me this is a local problem, but I ran an Internet speed test and it passed fine. I rebooted my workstation with a cold start (cycling power), but this hasn't cleared the problem.

IQFeed struggles to connect to local port 127.0.0.1:9300 (see the screenshot log) but it eventually succeeds. Why is that?

After connecting, it can't seem to download any stock prices (see the screenshot).

Please tell me if this is a local problem or a server side problem? And how do I fix it?

Everything is now running as expected. Apparently, this was a problem at DTN's server end. Just because the IQFeed diagnostic tool says there is "connectivity" doesn't necessarily mean the DTN data servers are responding; they weren't. But everything is good now.
