For the last few days, when I run a backtest (after 6 PM) it's not automatically updating the IQFeed data the way it used to. Now I have to go to the data manager and manually initiate an update.

Just an FYI.

Hmmm, I just ran a few Strategies on a 5 minute scale with IQFeed as the data source and they updated on demand just like always without needing to go to the Data Manager. Perhaps there's something different in our settings or workflows ...

We've been trying to get to the bottom of this issue with @tomphm (whose time zone is CST unlike OP's):

I haven't had this IQFeed static, "on-demand" update data problem, and I'm in the CST time zone. However, my usage of IQFeed could be different. I only use Daily bars for static data, and I have the Regular Session Only checkbox checked, so my usage is very specific and limited. It sounds like a problem with the timing of when IQFeed provider processes Market Manager information upon market closings, which creates an unexpected update behavior.

It's when I run the backtests. I use daily bars. It's not the end of the world, I just need to pay attention to the signal date.

@mustplayoptions, is Offline Mode activated? If it is, on demand data update is disabled.

It isn't.

It worked today. I'm not sure what the difference is. I have noticed that when it's not working the "Need to Load Data" red alert isn't showing so I'll pay attention to that more and see if I can find a pattern. Thanks

By chance you're using Truncate data on IQFeed DataSets in the Data Manager from time to time?

Sorry no. As I mentioned though it seems to have fixed itself so far.
