Hi there,

I recently noticed my trial for the IB brokerage connection extension expired, so I logged in through WL8 to download my license and checked in wealthlab.com that I have active licenses for both WL8 and the IB extension and all looks good.

Unfortunately, even after quitting IB TWS and WL8 multiple times, restarting, and re-installing the extension, it does not appear in WL8 - I only see the dummy broker in the order manager interface.

I confirmed these dll's did get installed in the WL8 directory -
CSharpAPI.dll
WealthLab.InteractiveBrokers.dll
WealthLab.InteractiveBrokers.WPF.dll

..but not sure what trial limitations they may have (or what happens when overwritten by a fresh trial install)

It all seemed to be working fine during the trial btw - appeared on the first try after restart and configuration seemed to work for both orders and data.

Thanks for any tips on how to get this back with a valid license.

What is the Home Page telling you about the status of your IB extension license?

Says my WL subscription is active but does say the IB extension expired Dec 24th. (Good catch)

Based on info here I thought paying once means I have a lifetime license on the IB connector -
https://www.wealth-lab.com/extension/detail/InteractiveBrokers#information

So not sure how to renew it. Had been using it 6.9, only recently migrating to WL8 currently.

The WL6.9 version from a 3rd party has nothing to do with the WL7/8 extension. To continue using the IB provider after trial expiration it has to be purchased.

I fixed it for you, if you restart you should be all good with IB.

Now it's back and working, but still not appearing in my purchases as it did last time you fixed it to say 'lifetime'.

Hi dave, it’s because you haven’t officially purchased the extension for WL8.

You’re on the monthly plan so typically you’d have to purchase each extension separately. Since you’re a loyal long time user though we made an exception in your case.

Got it thank you! Maybe just a one time issue that was solved by a restart then. It happened to coincide with all my orders disappearing due to the TIF being only a day which added to my concern but turns out to be a separate issue.
