I created a 5s ^SPX data set from data I had in SQL.
I then create a new chart.
Make it streaming
Set custom time to 5s
Error message:
"Could not obtain historical data for symbol ^SPX."
The same path works for 1 minute data set I had created.
How does WL8 recognize if a data set is 1 min or 5s?
Data set creation process does not ask for time interval information.

Right. DataSets are only symbols.
You request the interval and data range from a historical provider .
