Follow up: I installed .Net 6.0.13 from Microsoft's website. See evidence below.

Yet, the Wealthlab installable (WL8SetupB30B.exe) says that

"The setup has determined that some of the prerequisites needed to run WealthLab 8 are missing. This wizard will assist you in gettin gand installing those prerequisites. Click 'Next' to continue or 'Cancel' to exit the Setup Wizard. "

Needless to say, the installable is unable to detect the presence of .NET 6.0.13 on my computer. Is it a bug?

I prefer getting .Net 6.0.13 from Microsoft directly - instead of an installable's own source. The reason for this is because Microsoft fixed 'security issues' via patches between .Net 6.0.2 (Feb 2022) and .Net 6.0.13 (Jan 2023).

As a customer, for security, I would prefer .Net 6.0.13 and I expect the Wealthlab installable to detect the same.

How do we resolve this?

Can you unselect the item and skip this step altogether?

Thank you, Eugene.

Helpful for installation.

But when I run the installed program, I still get the error on

QUOTE:
"You must install and update .Net to run this application. Framework: "Microsoft.WindowsDesktop.App", version '6.0.0' (x64).

Would you like to download it now?

Every time I run the installed program - I get the below popup. Do I need to restart the machine?

If I click Yes, it takes me to Microsoft's .Net site.
If I click No, it does not launch the Wealthlab tool.

Bottomline: I am unable to use the Wealthlab tool.

Update:

I restarted my machine and yet no change in the Wealth Lab software's behavior.

I am unable to run the installed program (with unchecking instruction provided above).

The installed program is unable to locate my .Net Run Time (v 6.0.13)

Note that the Wealth Lab I have installed on my computer is 8.0.30.

Question: Is this a bug? If yes, when will it be resolved? I am unable to get started on WLP and weekends are the only time I get.

Request: Please help resolve this.

Eugene provided the answer here:

Specifically, you installed the .NET Runtime, but you need to install the .NET Desktop Runtime.

Worked - thank you Cone for clarifying. Thanks to @Eugene as well.

It works and now, I am able to use the Build 30 of Wealth-Lab 8.
