Hello. After starting WL I am receiving the Google.protobuf error and WL is shut down.

I've read the discussion dated back to 2025 about Google.protobuf, but I am still needing help. I use WL in connection with IBKR TWS.

Thank you in advance.

Looks like there is a version conflict between that assembly between Deep Learning and IB extension. Do you have both of those installed? It looks like Deep Learning is installing version 3.21.9 and IB requires 3.30. Did you happen to install Deep Learning after IB? Perhaps try installing IB again which should get the correct version in place.

Also, I will get an updated Deep Learning build released that includes the updated version of Protobuf.

Indeed, I installed "Deep Learning" last Friday!

I uninstalled IBKR TWS and installed it again, but WL still doesn't work. I will uninstall it and set it all back again, avoiding DL module.

I uninstalled and reinstalled TWS and WL without extensions and it didn't solve the problem. I am still needing help.

I uninstalled WL but it still keeps all its DLL and folders, then I deleted the (in)famous protobuf and re-installed WL. It still crashes when attempting to connect to IBKR TWS.

I don't want to manually delete its folders due to there is a lot of datasets, neural networks, indicators and strategies, and despite backups, something may be lost; but unfortunately I am afraid I most to delete its folders.

Problem solved: I manually deleted WL folders after uninstalling, then I installed back the main and extensions (all but machine learning). Luckily it kept my original settings, dataset and strategies.

Waiting for the updated ML extension :-)
