Hi, I have started a WealthLab trial to see if it's something I wish to pursue subscribing to. I've tried downloading the Interactive Brokers extension in order to connect my market data and test out WealthLab's auto-trading feature. However, no matter how many times I download/install the extension via the website or through the WealthLab desktop app, it won't show up as installed or available in My DataSets. I see it says on the website that extensions require a Wealth-Lab subscription. Does that mean a 'paid' subscription, such that a WealthLab trial account doesn't allow for using the extension 14-day trials at the same time to test out the full experience?

Update: I now see in an email from WealthLab that "You can try all of the extensions without charge during your 14-day trial period! Just download, install, and re-launch WealthLab to load them." Since I've tried this, what might I be doing wrong?

You won't see it in My DataSets.

You'll see the IB Providers listed in the Data Manager, Historical and Streaming tabs.

You should also see it listed as an option when you elect to Create a New DataSet.

I just checked again and do not see it as an option in any of those locations. What should I do? Should I uninstall and reinstall everything?

Did you change the default WL8 installation location? If you did, you’ll need to install the Extension into the same folder.

On the WL8 Home Page tool there is a pane that lists all our Extensions and whether or not they are licensed or installed. What does the line item for the IB Extension say there?

I did not change the default location intentionally. Just downloaded and installed WealthLab 8 and Interactive Brokers extension. I just found the folder where WealthLab 8 was installed and it was in fact a different folder from where Interactive Brokers extension was. So I re-installed it to the WealthLab 8 folder but it didn't change anything.

On the home page, the Interactive Brokers extension is unchecked and Status "Not Installed", but every time I check it and click "Update Selected Items", it tells me that it will download the update, then shut down to perform the installation. I've done that several times and every time I re-open WealthLab, the extension is unchecked and "Not Installed" again.

Update/Fix
I just uninstalled and reinstalled WL8 and it is now showing Interactive Brokers in my Historical and Streaming Providers. The settings seem to be working in the Testbed so all good there. Homepage still has Interactive Brokers listed as Not Installed though, for whatever that is worth. Thank you for your help in the matter - not sure what went wrong initially.
