Looking at some of the sample systems, and they seem to try to close right when the market is closing. Obviously they fail to execute.

Open Preferences (F12), click on the Trading tab, and hit F1. See MOC/LOC in the Special Order Types section and the two different Behaviors. Either way, you'll need to trigger the order before the close.
