I'm still getting this exception every time I try to add a strategy to S.Monitor.

Oh no! I'll looking into what could be causing that.
That error occurs after just dropping the strategy into the S. Monitor?
That error occurs after just dropping the strategy into the S. Monitor?
I'm just trying to drop a strategy into S.Monitor and I get that exception every time.
Try this standard "settings reset" procedure to see if it works. You'll be able to go back to your original setup later, if you want to.
1. Close WL8
2. Go to C:\Users\yourWindowsName\AppData\Roaming
3. RENAME the WealthLab8 folder. This contains all of your data, scripts, settings, etc.
Example - rename it to WealthLab890
4. Start WealthLab
WealthLab will create a new WealthLab8 user folder now with default settings.
5. Try putting a sample strategy in the S. Monitor.
I'm guessing it works, right? Now let's see if we can break it by moving pieces from the original folder over.
6. Close WealthLab
7. Move the Settings.txt file from WealthLab890 to WealthLab8.
8. Start WealthLab, repeat step 5.
Keep repeating 6 -8 with other elements until it breaks.
- DataSets folder
- Strategies folder
- Alpaca folder
etc.
If you want to go back to your old set up with your scripts, etc., just rename the WealthLab8 again (WealthLab8-fresh) and then change WealthLab890 back to WealthLab8.

There is no "AppData" folder within my C:\Users\yourWindowsName folder.
1. In Explorer, click View > Show Hidden Items
or,
2. It might be called Application Data for some regions.
Anyway, the easiest way to find yours is to start WealthLab, click File > Open WealthLab User Data Folder. That will open the WealthLab8 folder, so you just have to navigate back 1 folder to Roaming.
Then Close WealthLab to continue.

Broke after the Settings.txt was replaced.
Not sure if this is the same exception or not, but here you go...

It's the same exception. Please send us the file to support@wealth-lab.com.
You could then delete the file and start over with step 6 per Cone's Post #3.
You could then delete the file and start over with step 6 per Cone's Post #3.
Got your file and was able to reproduce the exception. It's related to the Binance provider. We should take a closer look and fix it.
Honestly, I did the Settings Reset procedure that @Cone was talking about and decided to just recreate all my old strategies, so I’m not relying on a fix here. I’m no longer pursuing crypto so have no need for binance anymore. It appears everything is working fine for me now since the Settings Reset procedure. Thanks though!
Thank you!
Eugene just means that we found the source of that error so that WealthLab's Binance extension can handle it more gracefully in the future.
