This week I found that several of my daily strategies that run in the Strategy Monitor were generation completely different (and bogus) signals that were not generated when the strategies were run standalone. I tracked the issue to my use of the newly released Use Live Positions option in Trading Preferences.

Disabling the ULP option made all strategies run in SM work correctly again.

Funny, it's working perfectly for me. I "bought" positions in AAPL and AMZN of 123 shares in my Dummy Broker account, and sure enough I'm getting the correct signals.

Did you read the help on this feature? We expect the signals to be different since they're being pulled from the LIVE POSITIONS reported by your broker.

None of these failing strategies use a live broker. They all use the dummy broker. Not auto traded. I don't understand why the live broker positions matter in this case.

The dummy broker is a "live broker". If the selected dummy account has positions, it will affect the signals when "Use Live Positions" is enabled.

The Dummy Broker has never held positions because all signals are traded manually for the strategies under discussion. Never staged or placed. I am running the strategies solely to generate signals. The signals are different (and incorrect) if Live Positions is selected.

In case you're wondering why I would bother enabling Live Positions in this case, it is because two additional strategies do auto-trade to a live broker, and I thought selecting this option would be warranted.
